Westerly Creek Metropolitan District

The budget is adopted each year by the Board of Directors under the Colorado Local Government Budget Law. The board reviews a proposed budget showing expected revenues from property taxes and fees and planned spending, makes it available for public inspection, and holds a public hearing before approving it by resolution and certifying the district’s mill levy.

The Westerly Creek Metropolitan District is required to undergo an annual independent audit prepared in accordance with state guidelines, which is reviewed by the Board of Directors and filed with the Colorado Office of the State Auditor to ensure transparency and accountability.
